Yes, as your professional wedding photographer, I will retain copyright of all your wedding images, however I always provide an official copyright release for you allowing unlimited personal use and printing of your wedding photos. Since copyright stuff is pretty serious and dull, I can’t really make any good jokes about it. Bummer.
Yes I do. Every image I deliver is post produced with my unique signature style of post production. This involves color correction, exposure adjustment, selective black and white processing, clarity adjustments, tone-mapping, and other corrections. Many photographers will not post produce any images, or will only post produce “select” images from your wedding. This means that you may have pictures that are too dark, have strange skin tones or other common photography flaws.
The first look allows you to spend a bigger portion of your wedding day with your husband by taking portraits with him before the ceremony. It allows your timeline to be a bit relaxed and you’ll have more time to join your guests at the party! The first look is a time for you to see each other privately without the pressure of a crowd, which means you get to hear what your groom thinks of your dress! I highly recommend First Look when the ceremony is very close to sunset.
One thing to be aware when shopping for a wedding photographer is their turnaround time for editing. My turnaround time is about 4-6 weeks, depending on the season. For a 3 days Asian weddings turnaround is 6-8 weeks. My goal is to deliver you high quality images in a timely fashion so that you can enjoy your memories while the memories still fresh.
Equipment needs vary pretty wildly from one wedding to the next. But I always prepare (for everything in life) by packing way more stuff than I expect to need. And then when I think I have everything I could possibly need, I pack some more.
Two weddings in one day? No freakin’ way. Not a chance. My philosophy is never ever invite trouble. Two weddings in one weekend can sometimes be done under certain ideal circumstances, but I usually won’t do that either.
No, I do not. I eliminate duplicate images, test shots, missed focused shots, shots with bad expressions and other images that may dilute the overall product delivery. For example, because I shoot with low apertures, sometimes I take a few extra shots to make sure I have the perfect focus. I don’t expect you to have the expertise or the time to zoom into each image to select the one with the sharpest focus, so we spend hours doing that on our end. In another example, candid laughs and emotional tears are some of the best images from the day. Unfortunately, they can also yield some unflattering facial expressions. I might snap a few extras of any of these moments to make sure I have a great shot with the ideal expression for the moment. With my expertise of processing millions of images each year, I may eliminate ones that I feel are duplicates and only deliver the best ones.
E-sessions are all about celebrating your love and life together in this special season. This sessions really help you and the photographers to know each other and to get more comfortable working together. If you are wanting to send out save the dates with photos, we recommend to do the session about 5 months in advance from the wedding date. I’ve also recommend to the couples to use the engagement photos for guest book, slideshow and/or framed prints to be displayed at the wedding. My E-sessions take place outside in the beautiful natural light If you need help with ideas, I can help you come up with the perfect spot.
